Rovers recognized as sixth-straight Bud League champs

[May 28, 2019 - Harmon, Guam] The NAPA Rovers FC wrapped up the Budweiser Soccer League Premier Division season with the team's sixth straight league title - finishing with an undefeated 19-0-2 record - and were recognized during an awards presentation event Sunday evening at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.

Also recognized were silver finishers, the Bank of Guam Strykers FC, finishing the 2018-2019 season with a second-best 16-3-2 record.

The awards presentation event also included recognition of winners in the Amateur Division and the Masters Division.

Budweiser 2018-19 season heats up with Week 19 matches

[April 8, 2019 - Harmon, Guam] In Saturday evening’s Budweiser Soccer League Premier Division matches, the NAPA Rovers FC defeated Lots of Art Tattoo Heat 8-1 to stay on top of league standings through Week 19 at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.

Golden Boot race leader Min Sung Choi led all scorers with five goals for the Rovers and teammates Mark Chargualaf, Kyode Lawson, and Dan Ito also scored. Seth Surber scored LOA Heat’s lone goal in the sixth minute of the contest.

LOA Heat jump up to fourth in premier Budweiser soccer

[April 3, 2019 - Harmon, Guam] Lots of Art Tattoo Heat takes over the fourth spot in Budweiser Soccer League Premier Division standings with its Week 18 win coupled with a loss by Quality Distributors FC Saturday at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.

LOA Heat (6-7-3) defeated Guam Shipyard 4-2 with a hat trick by Seth Surber and one goal from Surber’s older brother Keith. Jake Quichocho and Damien Khoo scored for Guam Shipyard in the loss.

The win helped LOA Heat take the fourth place spot from Quality Distributors FC, which fell to league leaders NAPA Rovers FC 6-2 in the teams’ Week 18 fixture. Golden Boot leader Min Sung Choi and Kayode Lawson each scored twice for the Rovers and teammates Natsuki Recella and Bryan Cadiz also scored. Takefumi Inoue and Ernest Baah scored for Quality (6-9-1).

Top 3 Budweiser Premier Division teams win in Week 17

[March 24, 2019 - Harmon, Guam] Five-time defending champion NAPA Rovers FC earned the lone shutout victory in Saturday evening’s Week 17 matches of the Budweiser Soccer League Premier Division at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.

The NAPA Rovers (13-0-3) defeated Guam Shipyard 8-0 to stay on top of the leaderboard with just six matches left in the 2018-2019 season. Guam Shipyard falls to 0-15-1 with the Week 17 loss.

Min Sung Choi contributed a hat trick in the win and teammates Dan Ito and Devan Mendiola scored twice each. Mark Chargualaf scored the Rovers’ other goal.

Choi extends his lead in the league’s Golden Boot race with 27 to his credit, followed by teammate Mendiola with 20 for the season.

NAPA Rovers look to extend unbeaten streak in Bud soccer

[March 18, 2019 - Harmon, Guam] The NAPA Rovers FC look to extend its undefeated streak in the Budweiser Soccer League when Premier Division matches continue Saturday at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.

After settling for a draw with the Bank of Guam Strykers in Week 14, the NAPA Rovers are riding on a two-match win streak with its latest victory recorded against the Sidekicks – a 6-0 shutout – on Mar. 16. Mark Chargualaf led the Rovers with two goals against Sidekicks and teammates Min Sung Choi, Gustavo Pro, and Devan Mendiola also scored. The Rovers’ other goal came on a Sidekicks own goal.

The Rovers will next play against Guam Shipyard (0-14-1) Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
